Members slvrsrpnt
He was one of my favorite guitarists when I was younger, but I never got a chance to catch them live in their heyday unfortunately. Members slvrsrpnt
This was from 1982, I really wish they would re-release this on DVD.....at 13 this was cool stuff, and one of the reasons I became a Dean guitar fan

Members MesaMonster
I have seen them live and they put on a great show. The three of them playing was amazing. One of the times I saw them, Yngwie Malmsteen opened for them. He was so new that they did not even open the curtain for him. Rik Emmett is such a fantastic player. Members AJ6stringsting
I saw them four times .... the fourth time was at the US Festival in San Bernardino, in 1983.Glad to see Rik is alive and well. He was very important in my developmental years and still inspires me to this day.
Members onelife
Rik Emmett is such a fantastic player. Yeah, great player - really versatile too. I saw a TV program, perhaps on PBS, where he and Bruce Cockburn were in a studio playing jazz guitar. I was pleasantly surprised by both players because, at the time, I had only known what I heard on their respective commercial recordings.
Members RGfretter
One of the best concerts I have seen. Circa 1983? Amazing show. The guy obviously can play guitar but his voice was what was most impressive. He can sing. The band was flawless.

Members A_Gitarman
Yep. Rik's solo in Rock & Roll Machine was one of my earliest influences on the guitar. He's also the reason that I currently own this:

Thanks for posting that - Ed was one of my teachers back in the late 70s - nice to hear the big fat bell like sound out of his tele again.

Members Dega500
Loved them! I can't say he was a big influence on my playing. I couldn't touch him back then and still can't but Triumph sure helped shorten the life of a pair of JBL's!
