dual humbucker 3-way switch wiring problem

So i have been building a partsacaster and after i wire it all up it works perfectly. However, when i put the strings on, for whatever reason, the pickup selector stops working. its the strangest thing to me and i don't know enough to understand my problem. why is the selector not working after the strings are put on?

I doubt that it was wired right to start with . The problem only became apparent after the strings were put on

There are plenty of wiring diagrams on line, search for one that looks like your project

I know for a fact that the wiring was correct before the strings were put on because i tested it at every step of the build: before attaching the pick guard, after attaching the pick guard, without stings, then with strings.

How did you test it, and how is the switch "not working" now? Can you post a picture of the switch wiring? Is this a tele-style blade switch or a Les Paul type pickup switch?

It's usually the switch go back and check.

Did you remember to ground the bridge?

Pics would help but we've all been having problems posting them.

 

You said the switch is not working ,could you be more specific . Do either of the pickups work?

What exactly is the switch not doing ?
