Can I shield my pickguard with this???

Yeah, I considered using aluminum foil as it is the standard, however, this stuff just seemed a bit fancier...and it's self-adhesive, which appeals to the lazy in all of us! ;)

Would it make any difference which one I go with? (I.E. would the copper shield better then the alum foil?)

The copper tape has conductive glue, which is the big difference. You just overlap the pieces and you have continuity. On the other hand, I've used metal tape from the home improvement stores on some guitars with good results, with no continuity problems between pieces. Go figure.

I've shielded 2 guitars (Strat style) and 2 P-basses with regular Lowes/Home Depot store aluminum tape. Works great in all of them, no probs with continuity between pieces, made sure to overlap up on the lip so each piece is touching the pickguard's layer of tape.

I ran the pickguard's tape perpendicular to the tape in the body cavity.
