Members Detox
Not too bad, though. Fender is good for occasionally making guitar models from leftover parts, such as this. Can anyone find a pic of a Musiclander?
Members Dougy
it says on that site that the Musiclander was the same guitar under a different name. It's a very UGLY guitar, particularly the headstock...

Yeah, there was also a version that used the neck of an Electric XII, which was even uglier. Can't find a pic of that at the moment.

Members aclarke
ladies and gentlemen, I present the rarest of the Fender Floor Sweepers, the Fender Marauder prototype - there are 4 pickups are UNDER the pickguard, and an onboard tremolo effect. This is the 1965 marauder - they rethought a few things, but it still looks like it was assembled by a mental patient, IMO:

Members I'm A Coal Man
They have always done it that way, the big strat chronicles book talks about this quite a bit. I like the part where they would need hardware or paint and get whatever the hardware store across the street had on the shelf. Any thing to keep the line moving! Also had different year parts so all kinds of weird stuff showed up at the dealers...wow one of a kind strat, by captin' haphazzard
