H-S-H- works better than H-S-S. It's a simple thing to tap the neck pos humbucker, in fact on higher end models this is done automatically when you select position 2 or 4 on the pickup switch.

I picked up an RG1570 and it's a fantastic guitar. The pickups aren't the greatest but they're decent. Everything else on the instrument is amazing.

      Ibanez SA.
I can't understand why people are frightened of new ideas. I'm frightened of the old ones.

Oh, I'm sure the 97s are great. I personally prefer the old style neck joint for some reason.

            J Custom

I just played my ole RG620, and though it is nice, the JC is so much better in almost all aspects (I love gold hardware on 620)
            Respect.

            Currently Being Played:
            Ibanez J-Custom RG8670 Black Onyx
            Jackson SL2H Amber Sunburst

              this,

with a dimarzio BREED at the bridge and two cruisers(neck/middle)
