I want to go back and check out the scene in Slingblade where Dwight Yoakum does his drunken, abusive garage-band bit...that had a surf flair as I recall. Members Cougar Hunter Posted November 30, 2005 Members Share Posted November 30, 2005 It's just like rockabilly except, nobody in the band is a good enough singer, so they just play instrumental guitar songs like: SleepwalkGhostriders in the SkyCaravanMiserlou I would put Los Straightjackets in this category (They kick ass) They also have the option to play fender guitars unlike serious modern rockabilly.
