Fender Heartfield Talon III in pawnshop: How much?

I went into a pawn-shop today and there on the wall I saw a Fender Heartfield Talon on the wall. It was in reasonable condition; the neck was find but there where some chips in the finish on the body. However, the problem it is priced much too high; it was marked $399 Canadian.

I'm fairly sure I can negotiate the price (the pawnshop owners run an eBay buisness so I'm fairly sure they know what it is worth) but what would be a reasonable offer? I was considering a maximum offer $240 Canadian dollars; is the value appropriate (factoring in condition and exchage rate) appropriate? What can I do to get my price (or preferably lower!)?

Thanks in advance!

I'm not in Canada, so can't advise on the price.

However, I own several Heartfields and they are awesome guitars. They were made in the same factory as the Japanese Ibanez RGs, and are every bit as good.

If you're happy with the price, buy it!! I don't think you'll regret it :thu:

In Australia, they sell far about the same price as a second hand MIJ Ibanez RG (if that's any help).
