Members dguitars
item 180213463991 I watch the price of these since I have one. The current bid is very high. I don't see anthing about it to justify this.

Members Rob Dobbs
Ive got both the EA250 guitar and the matching EA260 bass, both are jems and worth every penny. Its good to see some people atcualy recognise them for what they are, sweet sounding and once set up, incredible playing guitars. The main problem and bad rep these originaly had was aweful high action due to impropper neck set. They desperatly need a shim and a new lower bridge. Ive since had mine "fixed" with a neck shim and as mentioned, better bridge. Ive also dumped the tremolo in favor of a trapeze tailpeice. Its now on par with any vintage Gibson in both sound and playablity. If you can get an EA250 for the right price, do some simple mods and youll be amazed. Members dcooper830
Damn!! I almost traded a POD PRO for one of those a couple months ago. I didn't like the guitar so I took money instead. Now I'm starting to think that was pretty stupid of me.
Members utsapp89
I've never seen one get up that high.... On a side note, I found this really cool looking vintage Epi while looking for more of those EA's. Never seen anything like it...really wouldn't mind having one. http://cgi.ebay.com/1968-Gibson-Epiphone-Al-Caiola-Electric-Guitar_W0QQitemZ320216049073QQihZ011QQcategoryZ118991QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Members badpenguin
Just remove the neck, take a matchbook cover, and tear off about a 1/4" of the end off. Fold it in half. There's your shim. Put the shin into the neck slot closest to the pickup, then replace the neck, and readjust the bridge.
Members gufnstuf
with the bridge on these all the way down i still have almost a 1/4 of an inch between the strings and the frets at the top 22. im going to need alot of matchbooks..... Members badpenguin
you would be surprised how much, a thin matchbook can change the angle of the neck.
Members jtr654
I've played one of these and the 70s Epi are for the most part JUNK .
