no, these are not guitars made in afghanistan. My uncle has one and I'm thinking about getting it as a project guitar and switch pick-ups. But I won't be able to get it for a few months because he's in italy. But I am wondering if any of you has ever heard/had one these guitars. He has a LP copy I believe from the 80's. is the waiting gonna be worth or not? I remember has a module for some cheesy distortion.

The only guitars I know of that take plug in modules were the Electra MPC's.

If that's what it is, don't change out the pickups!!! Sell it to some one who wants it for what it is. ( Like me) Actually I'd buy a set neck, but not the bolt on, even though they play nice as well.

Hondo had some guitars back in the 80's with built in effects, and some were sold under different names. They pretty much did suck. Plywood bodies and really {censored} hardware.
