  • what does a walnut body sound like

    well? I'm used to mahog body/neck + ebony board... what will walnut body, maple neck, ebony board sound like?

    Walnut:
    ...It has a similar sound to hard maple but it tends not to be as bright.

      PS: The smell of burning walnut wood in a fire (scraps of course) is absolutely wonderful.

          I am interested as well as I have been wanting to get a carvin bolt kit with a walnut body/ebony board.

            I've always thought of walnut being ever so slightly darker sounding than mahogany, and ever so slightly heavier than mahogany.
