Members stratitude
This might be a rather noobish amp question, but I thought if would be better to ask than risk damage. This is somewhat off topic for EG, but I chose this forum for reasons you probably already know. Can a person hook a different amp head up to the cab of a combo amp? And what about the reverse - can a combo amp be used just as a head, and attached to a different cab? So take for example on an Epiphone Valve Junior Combo. On the back of the amp the speaker cable comes out and attaches the cabinet to the head. Could a person instead use this to connect a different head to the valve junior cabinet? Or could you plug a different cabinet's speaker cable into the valve junior head, and use just that half of the combo amp? Are there any precautions a person needs to take so that they don't damage half or all of the combo amp in the process? I figured this must work somewhat, otherwise those connections wouldn't be there, but wondered what the limitations might be, if any. Thanks in advance! Members Burningleaves
Yup, You can do those things. Only heads up would be to mind the ohms.

Members stratitude
Alright, thanks for the info. I figured this was the case, but thought it better to check than to blow something up.
