I have fond memories of a Hondo II LP copy back in the late 90s.

I got mine for $20 . Its kinda a semi hollow body this gives it a cool sound. Stock DiMarzios. Needs new electronics, fret leveling. I replaced the tuners.

Hondo II = todays Jay Turser.
I had an SG by Hondo II. I really thought it was cool because the side of the guitar showed all these levels of wood....
Oh, is THAT what a laminate is?(lol)
        Sure was!

I also had a Hondo II many years ago. It was an acoustic however. A Maple Jumbo, with a Maple fingerboard. It wasn't a bad guitar.

I've not got any pics, but I've got a hondo II LP special style that's a natural finish in lots of differrent woods (Alembic sylee not plywood!)

It sounds great but needs some setup work, over all though, pretty solid

Hondo is/was a brand of today's Cort, along with Samick, Jay Turser, etc. Cort is the latest name for the company setup by Jack Wiesberger [sp?] that was best known for the Tiesco brand in the 60's. Cort today is one of the largest OEM makers of MI. Any instrument that says made in Indonesia is made by Cort.
