Members jerry_picker
Old news (2008) but cool video. Good player, that one.
Members Muddslide
He's a killer player. His sound and style influenced me a lot..early X in general. He's probably part of the reason I'm such a Gretsch junkie.
Members jerry_picker
He fixed a couple amps for me in the early aughts. Cool guy, very dry sense of humor. He demonstrated what he did with my amps on his Epiphone Coronet (modded). He is a technical wiz...possibly the best cross picker I have had the pleasure of watching at close range. And, clueless dolt that I am, I didn't know who he was ("X", etc.) until later. I recall that he was more interested in talking about about hot-rodded cars than guitars. Go figure. Members sk8centilli
First time I ever saw him (and X) was in the 80's while watching The Decline of Western Civilization - been a fan ever since.

That's a pretty cool documentary, though a lot of the people in it come off looking like complete tools.
Members yorgatron
I recall that he was more interested in talking about about hot-rodded cars than guitars. Go figure. a friend of mine was a "Mod" in L.A. back in the day. someone answered his "looking for Vespa parts" ad in the local pennysaver,so he rides over to the guy's place, knocks on the door, and who should answer the door but Billy Zoom. I hear he's into Hudsons too

Members bsman
I never did care much for the vocal (dis)harmonies of Xene and John Doe, but DID enjoy listening to the music of Billy, John and DJ...
Members Artslinger
X is a great band... Billy Zoom gives the band that extra punch that cuts through those X harmonies.

Members Hubert Stumblin
Cool guitar too. Interesting that Gretsch went with Semour Duncan for the Dynasonics instead of TV Jones. Also, I wasn't entirely clear about how the Billy Zoom Silver Jet is wired. Is the issued guitar done the way Billy likes 'em or is that just the ones they made for him specifically.
