Thanks..that's one I missed.

I played a few in the 80s but lost track of company years ago.

I think the company had big financial problems at some point, probably in the '90s, and ended up selling out, at least partially, to Samick or one of the other big Korean mfgs. Maybe their factory out in Cali burned down or something like that? Seems like I remember imported VA guitars of marginal quality sorta ruining their reputation? FWIW, I do think some of the main guys from the company's '80s heyday are now involved in the Gibson thing. I wonder if they're making good stuff again.

Half the guys on the LA session scene probably played Valley Arts stuff in the late '80s.

Mike McGuire and Al Carness were the minds behind Valley Arts, and both ended up working for Gibson after Samick acquired a controlling interest in Valley Arts in the early '90s.

Umm, all of it is
:freak:

Whether you care for the looks or not (and I don't know how close this copy is soundwise compared to the original from him) but I can tell you for a fact that the latter is a killer instrument.

What an absolutely sick player! If I buy a Valley Arts will I sound like that?

I guarantee it!

If not Ill buy your VA Tele off you at half the price you paid

the problem with the looks is the colors. the gold knobs/control plate, white pickup ring, and red pickup is all incongruent

easily fixed
