Speed knobs or Witch hats?

Speeds look nice on goldtops or archtops.

 

As previously mentioned, I like the look of top hats without top inserts.

 

Witch hats just remind me of an ugly part of the 70's. They're like fender amp knobs gone bad.

Whatever you decide put some covers on those pickups.

 

I don't think I can put a cover on the Super II.

For this guitar, definitely speed knobs!

 

The only thing is,I bought this guitar because I wanted a guitar that looked like the Les Paul Custom that I saw on an episode "Pawn Stars" on The History Channel.That guitar is a '74 LPC with witch hats.

 

Below is my copy next to the real thing.

i prefer playing with speed knobs on any guitar. they're easier to manipulate and don't get stuck or gummed up as easily, and are about a thousand times easier to take off. i think top hats look better on a few guitars, but not op's black lp.

Wow,really? I had a hell of a time getting the speed knobs off my guitar.
