  • Visual Sound Comp 66 Vs MXR Custom Comp

For some dumb reason I feel I need to experience a compressor this is about the only effect I have never used. I am looking at Visual Sound Comp 66 & MXR Custom Comp. Anybody use or like either of these? If your going to suggest other compressors keep in mind I only want to spend $130 and it has to be something I can get at Guitar Center because I am using a coupon. Please help me make my decision so I can get rid of this compressor gas!

I tried both, the Visual Sound is still on by board.

Can't really say why for sure because I liked them both. The Visual Sound just had a better "feel" to me.

You don't need no stinking compression.

I have the Visual Sound Comp 66 on my board and really like it. I've used a few different comps and I really like this one. I like the addition of the tone knob and the tone bypass switch. I would recommend the Comp 66.
