It's a GMP one-off they did for a NAMM show a few years ago.

Here's mine... An actual LE version from 1976. Not a re-issue - the one the re-issues are based on It rules. Probably my favourite guitar.

Recipient of the coveted MBM Kicking Ass Award!! ...still proud of that one.

I first bought this one for my son, I believe it was called a '76 RI Explorer. Got it as a blem for $680. It just had one bad string.

Then I got myself an Epi Korina

And this one has been my fave -
It was a Ltd Edition (400 of them) GOW (wk 13) Mahogany Pro with the smaller body.

It has the same pickups as the '76, but the 496R/500Ts just seem more chimey and sweet in this guitar.
A '57 Classic, MIJ from USA parts.
HCEG Existentialism: I buy guitars, therefore, I am.
Well Dick, it's got a good beat, and I could dance to it, so I give it a 10!
I have opinions of my own, strong opinions but I don't always agree with them.

Briefly had the '84 reissue when they were first out. Horrible. Sent it back. I now have the heritage cherry and the classic white ones. The cherry's in D# (snarl), and the CW is in C (growl).

I like swapping pickups in these guitars as well. The CW now has a PRS Tremonti in the bridge. The cherry has the PRS 250 set. Both were notable improvements compared to the 496/500 set.
Good deals with kickaxeguitars1, sparky1358, ESlinker, Sblue, zepsongs, super56k, GibsonVMan, O'Rourke, forayear, tincob, PunkKitty, floodstage and others on other forums -- just ask.

Wow... I know Gibson has poor QC, but even looking beyond the mis-matched pickups, the incorrect knob and switch placement AND the missing pickguard, I can't believe they cut the body wrong.
