I was under the impression dean had thinner, v-ish necks? I like v necks but when I tried the one on a Soltero it didn't work for me.

My ST-50 weighs in at 8 lbs. 14 oz. Nice, chunky neck.

                        24 frets? Check.

                        Baseball bat neck? Check.

                        Not a Gibson? Check.

Hold mah beer an' watch this!

They don't list this on their website (yet), but Carvin has four different fat necks (slightly different profiles, yo!) that you can choose from for an extra (I think) $100. Our old buddy 'Hardtail' can confirm this and give you more information.

Very, very cool guitars. Very good quality, great tone. A little heavy, but not a back-breaker (the ST300 I had).

                              Holy **************** that is awesome!

I called them about getting stuff built but they only had their standard neck shape for whatever type of guitar I ordered. All the Carvin's I have held have been exceptional pieces!!
