My sig will tell you what I happened to choose but you ought to head to a Fender retailer and try them out yourself. Once you have an idea what you're after, in terms of price range, finish options, neck size and shape and finish, and pickups, get back to us and we can narrow it down to a winner.

These 24.3/4" scale Squire thinlines are supposed to be good.

this again. One hell of a bargain, something you will never tire of. Light weight, sounds great, looks sexy, nice feel. Who could ask for more?

Not necessarily light weight at all. I have owned one that was heavy, and have played plenty of other heavy ones.

Interestingly, the OP hasn't bothered to offer a piece of information that might be useful: Price range. Without that information, it's impossible to give a reasonable answer, because said answer will most definitely be different if he is prepared to spend $300 than if he wants to spend $3000...

If you find a good one MIM Teles can be great guitars. I recently bought a 2003 MIM Tele with a Seymour Duncan little '59 in the bridge and its the best tele Ive ever owned. Its one of those guitars that feels like an old pair of jeans.

The Baja tele is a nice mid priced guitar with good pups.

Well Dick, it's got a good beat, and I could dance to it, so I give it a 10!
