Members canterbury
I have a MIM Strat and a PRS SE soapbar. Choosing just one would be tough but I'd have to give the nod to the PRS. The PRS has better fit and finish. It's also much more resonant than my strat, probably due to the set neck and hardtail bridge. They are very different sounding guitars but the Soapbar covers more territory than the strat. Honestly I see no reason to buy the SE One, find a used SE soapbar you'll get more versatility with 2 pickups. Used they go for around $300-350. Members captcoolaid
mostly depends on if u prefer humbuckers or single coils Hss Strat or HH you can tap them to get a pretty convincing single coil tone. But on the other hand PRS is about the only guitar I do not own but may look into getting one after I heard this.http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=10576370

Members Oldskool Texas
My PRS One kills for straightforward P-90 rock n' roll, although it's not especially versatile. I wish it had a tone control. The only MIM Strat I'd even look at would be the Jimmie Vaughan model. The rest just seem so dime-a-dozen.
