Do you already have a Strat?

                      If no: Strat

                      If yes: SE
This used to be a great place. Thanks, GCI, for killing it.See y'all at Wein's.

I have a MIM Strat and a PRS SE soapbar. Choosing just one would be tough but I'd have to give the nod to the PRS. The PRS has better fit and finish. It's also much more resonant than my strat, probably due to the set neck and hardtail bridge. They are very different sounding guitars but the Soapbar covers more territory than the strat. Honestly I see no reason to buy the SE One, find a used SE soapbar you'll get more versatility with 2 pickups. Used they go for around $300-350.

Hss Strat or HH you can tap them to get a pretty convincing single coil tone. But on the other hand PRS is about the only guitar I do not own but may look into getting one after I heard this.
