I had one about 10 years ago. I used it for guitar. It sounded great. It was quite loud. For the life of me, I don't remember what happened to it. Definitely a guitar amp, for bass it's probably up there with the MusicMaster Bass amp.
I don't recall it being a big distortion machine. Just thickened up, with a little grind as you turned it up. If it's a decent price, you really should check it out. I don't think it came with the greatest 15" speaker in the world, but it was adequate, and now there are many replacements to choose from.
