Members gergbee
Hi all, I ordered a pre-wired pick guard and my order arrived the other day. I hooked it up but I am getting no sound out of it. What can I do to test if the unit is faulty? I am no electrical expert but I do have a multimeter that my father-in-law had...I don't know how to use it though. Any pointers for me? Thanks, Greg
Members Bro Blue
Are you sure you soldered the correct wires to he correct place on the input jack? Pics would be helpful.
Members gergbee
I've actually tried both ways on the jack. (sounds vaguely dirty... ) I can take some pics. What kinds of pics would help (what should I focus on)?
Members gergbee
Two words: STUPID BIFOCALS! There was a nick in the insulation of the wire that I didn't see and the ground was touching it. Got it sorted out now. Thanks for trying to help Bro. Members Bro Blue
No problem. I'm finding out about those bifocals. Glad it's fixed.
