I've been looking at this amp the last few days since it went on sale for $60.00. Has anyone played this or even heard it being played? I would appreciate your opinions. I need somthing small to use in my office just for practicing.

Some of the reviews on those were purdy bad, http://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/marshall-mg2fx-2w-guitar-combo-amp?content=reviews

EXAMPLE:

To start off whit this Marshall amp has a cheap Inferior input jack, And the gain control from 1 to 10 I would rate it a 2, And The mode control does not seem to work at all. Overall junk very poor quality control, For a Marshall Amp, You are better with a Pig nose amp its cheaper and sounds alot better with its one volume knob.

but still, at $60 what do you have to lose?

A much better little amp (although not battery powered) would be this Roland Cube 20X at $95 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Roland+-+CUBE+20X+20W+Guitar+Amplifier/8105686.p?skuId=8105686&productCategoryId=pcmcat151600050024&id=1218012522840&ci_src=11138&AID=10474050&PID=4003003&SID=hohl6nfr0ki0&URL=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bestbuy.com%2Fsite%2FRoland%2B-%2BCUBE%2B20X%2B20W%2BGuitar%2BAmplifier%2F8105686.p%3FskuId%3D8105686%26productCategoryId%3Dpcmcat151600050024%26id%3D1218012522840%26ci_src%3D11138&ref=39&CJPID=4003003&loc=01

Okay, thanks guys, I'm going to get a Mustang I.

I just bought a mustang I and it is a lot of fun. It came to 100 including tax, can't complain at all. The fuse software is fun to tinker with too. Superb cleans on the twin reverb setting and plenty of options for overdrive and distortion on the others. Good choice!
