With that much stuff changed and/or missing I don't see why that guitar would be any more valueable to a person than a reissue. Even you found all parts from the same era the paint would be different and the parts wouldn't all be from the same guitar. Oh and the neck's also been broken twice...

A friend of mine just sold his '52 LP. It was complete and in very good condition. It received a factory sunburst finish in '57 or '58. Five years ago he turned down $25K. Now he needed the money and sold it for $10K. People would be nuts to spend $3-4K for that wreck!

$3-4k isn't very much to some people?

 

Plus, that guitar has been busted up and put back together a billion times. Think of the mojo.
