Members ExiledCrow
I dunno if I want to call the Superbowl an honor or not. In some ways it seems like an invite is proof that you're now considered over the hill, irrelevant, and safe.

Members deanmass
I would be stoked if they can just do two tunes from VH 1 minus fireworks and bombast, smash their {censored}, and walk off.

Members edremy
Forget VH- I doubt they could make up long enough to get through a 15 minute show. There's a petition out there to get Weird Al to do halftime. I fully support this idea- I can't even imagine what he'd do given the absurdly over the top production the SB wants. Members grunge782
I hope not. It is embarrassing seeing all these really old bands play now...it shows how {censored}ing terrible music has become presently.
Members fixintogo
... and here I thought the halftime performers couldn't get any more irrelevant.
Members Fenderman1991
Wouldn't surprise me, there hasn't been a good act in years, let's stick with tradition.
Members BuckshotJenkins
Over the hill or not, at least many whammy bar harmonic squeals will be unleashed. Cheap trick, but Ed does it as good as anybody.
Members LesPaulFetish
Van Halen still bring it IMO, especially compared to lots of other bands their age. Should've gone to see them when they were in town

Members billybilly
Although I am not a fan as such, it would be nice to see them play the super-bowl. Watching that beat up old whore lip-sink last years was embarrassing.
Members genesis3
Nice!....Ed should throw in Eruption too since he's got the fire back in his playing ...

Members Dr_Kuh
That would actually be brilliant. Play 4 songs and walk away. Imagine if they started with Ice cream man and warmed up the audience until the solo comes and Eddie just cooks the stadium
