shielding...foil or paint?

I use this. Enough to do a swimming pool route strat, 2 coats with enough left over to to a tele. Spray a bit of water from a squirt bottle before storage to keep the remaining stuff from drying out on you.

What do you folks suggest for shielding the back of a pickguard?

 

 

 

I've heard aluminum foil stuck on with rubber cement is just fine. :idk:

 

Do you folks agree? I'm not much into 2nd rate jobs, but if it's just as good as expensive copper tape, then I might just go ahead and do that.

I use aluminum hvac tape from Home Depot. I only use copper when I have to solder to the tape.

 

 

 

I've got some Alu tape, but I have no idea if the adheasive is conductive???

 

Also got some paint...I was gonna do my Teles, but I just ain't got round to it!

 

I hear shielding affects tone, true??? Or is what you're hearing is the true sound minus the interference??? My Baja sounds amazing, I don't really want to affect that adversely
