  • forumites face-to-face?

so, how many of you have actually met up with other forumites in person? did it include any jamming, or was it just getting together and hanging out?

stories, pics, clips, vids. post 'em if you got 'em. :thu:

I got to hang out with GuitarNoobie (Danny) since we used to live near each other. He was brewing beer with his buddy, also a guitar player. He let me try this amazing IPA, I've been chasing a beer that tasted as good ever since. I've not succeeded.

Looking forward to actually jamming with him some time soon.

I think I've met maybe 5 or 6 folks... maybe a few more.

Jamming half the time or thereabouts.

i haven't seen GuitarNoobie around here in a while. hope he's doing well. he did that freakin' amazing raindrop finish on the Dean and then built a les paul replica from scratch. with skills like that, i can only imagine how good his IPA was.

That was a great time. I'm looking forward to next years pilgrimage. It was fun to hang out with the old timers that run Heritage. They have some great stories.

i think i was some pics that brentrocks posted at one point recently. did you get a chance to jam at all, or was it more about touring the factory and ogling heritages? if you have pics, please post them.

For me it was more about touring the factory and checking out other people's gear. I don't have any pics. But you can join the Heritage forum and see pics.

I've met Lonnie99, Kyle and Senior Penguin. Cratz2 and I hang out. Lowbrow used to come over and jam about once a month with Cratz2 and I. NotJonahButNoah has been to my house for a jam session before and I've seen him at a few gigs.

The problem with jamming is none of us practice the same songs so it's kinda like a free for all, which kinda sucks.

So I've met 6 and know 3 of them a little bit.

I've met one, Shovelhead, who doesn't hang out here anymore. I saw a couple of his old bands play, and then I met him again about 7 years later for a CL sale.
