Members sxyryan
I use one of these:http://www.amazon.com/M-Audio-US4401...dio+fast+trackI like it. Very small and portable, doesn't need an external power source and doesn't color the mic too much. It also comes in handy for some computer based audio applications, like routing your computer's audio output to multiple sources, or acting as a headphone amp for your computer. My best advice is to get one with phantom power. I know you don;t need it for the SM57s, but it is a nice feature to have, and the only beef I have with the interface. When I bought the interface I just had an SM58, but as I go on I have amassed a few more, including two condensers that need phantom power. I recorded this with that setup. I added some compression and reverb in post, but it is otherwise just the interface and the mic.

Members sxyryan
That Icicle looks pretty sweet, actually. Does it need external power for phantom power? Or does that all come from USB?
