Members boonestunes
Converting my old Tele to esquire wiring. I have a rails humbucker in the bridge (and a coil tap on it), and a TBX tone control. With these, do I need to do anything different from the standard esquire wiring ? Aside from putting the coil tap in. And the TBX is already wired.
Members vintage clubber
I did a different circuit for the "neck" switch position on mine. Instead of a .047 uf cap I used a .0047 uf cap which made that position useful! It sounds like a cocked wah pedal vs. a wet blanket over my amp! Members Meowy
The "Arlo cocked wah" in place of the standard Esquire wiring (or the simple cap to ground). It is more of a mid pass and has a much more vowely / quacky soundIt is schematically the same as the Esquire wiring but different component values. You just need a .005uf cap (I.e. ~0.0047uF) to ground and send the signal through a .01uF cap and a 3.3K resistor, in seriesdiagram credit - phostenixwiringdiagrams (you can also wire it on a push pull or any DPDT switch)
Members honeyiscool
You know, you can change the three-way to a coil selector, so you can select between either coil, or both coils in series. This is the way that Avril Lavigne Tele works, and I really like it.
