I don't know, unless I'm missing something it's not so bad. Bass strings are relatively expensive, and since bass strings last a whole lot longer than guitar strings, I don't think it's that stupid to try and sell unused factory strings off of their bass, especially if there's a market for Gibson brand strings. To each his own. Still, I've never seen someone try to sell strings taken off their instrument. Humorously original.
