Members danswon Posted December 31, 2012 Members Share Posted December 31, 2012 I like the idea of a thin-necked SG. Combined with the upper fret access would make it a great lead guitar. Would also help somewhat with the weight balance issue. I've got 2 Epi G400s and they both have a pretty chunky neck. Members Howard VA Posted December 31, 2012 Members Share Posted December 31, 2012 I had an Epi G-400 Custom.....the neck was fat and the guitar was way too neck heavy. Then, I traded it in for a Gibson SG Standard, and what a difference! The neck is thinner and the guitar is perfectly balanced. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
