Members dughaze
So what's your gigging strap solution for a heavy or valuable Les Paul? I may just stay with Schaller strap locks. I have three guitars with them on it and several nice straps with them and as long as they don't let go, and so far none have (knocks on wood), they seem decent. But then again I'd like to get something wide and permanently mount it on the guitar with a washer but then the strap wouldn't fit in the Gibson case or do you make that work somehow? What do you do? ***It's a Gibson Traditional Plus

Members Scott Abene
I use luggage straps as guitar straps and I use canvas key chains as strap locks. You can buy them at Lowe's or Home DepotUsed these for years with no issues

Members onelife
For my Les Paul I use a wide leather strap and a couple of theseI like them because they keep the strap flush with the body and are reliable.I leave a strap attached to each of my work guitars. Members D Carroll
I drive a hole through a bottle cap, and screw the strap under the cap. Problem solved.

Members BydoEmpire
I put on Dunlop strap locks shortly after getting my LP Traditional a few years ago. They've worked well for me in the past. I use a soft, wide strap I've had for years. Works well.

Members kit_strong
I like Dunlop flush mount straplocks myself. Most will hesitate to drill a 1/4" hole in there guitar but I have no issues doing that.

Members PurpleTrails
I use Schallers. I have one of my LPs in a gig bag, and the suede strap I have on that one doesn't need to be detached. The other is in an SKB case, and I have to detach the cloth strap to fit it in the case. Members kit_strong
As for Straps themselves. The Mono Betty Strap is a great strap and the memory foam padding definitely helps with easing the load. I normally use Couch Straps but for my heavier guitars I find the Betty more comfy than anything else I've tried.
