  • Would a thread purge fix the site?

I had read somewhere that these gigantic threads with thousands of pages could possibly be part of the HC servers troubles....would it work if they purged all large threads down to say , the most recent 10 pages or so? ...just a thought

btw, If I were a corporate bigwig for this site , and took a look at the page views for the 'great deals' thread ...already at 18k plus and we're not even half way through January....guitar players here are also big time consumers apparently ...lotsa potential customers perusing so I think I'd be throwing some major time and effort to getting the site running smoothly, assuming MF et al keep running sales ,etc....

I read that nothing can fix this site, not even a company with the wealth of musicians friend and the like.

I love this site as much as I hate it. The hate lies in its stability, its ****************ed.

A thread purge would definitely help. Also, limiting the size of individual threads would help. A new server would help too.
