Members dmc69
No, I don't have the spec sheet or the original order form, but my Musikraft neck has frets that, unusually, show no wear at all for a used neck.So before I jump to conclusions and say it's stainless, I'd like to know if there's a way you find out if your frets are stainless or not? The best I could come up with Google was someone saying how stainless isn't attracted to magnets, whereas nickel silver is, but my magnets stuck to no frets at all. Only the refridgerator. Thanks in advance!
Members billybilly
Well, the obvious question is any signs of tarnish. Are they really shiny? I love SS and they feel slippery comparitively speaking to nickel steel. That's all I have to offer.
Members harold heckuba
You can sand on the very last fret with some 600 grit sandpaper. It will rough up slightly nickel frets, but it will not budge stainless.
