Members theManfromAlabam
I just heard one for the first time today, I thought it was badass...Anyone here use one? Thoughts?
Members onelife
I don't use one but a friend of mine does.He uses it with his Pro Tools rig and I think it is great but live I find it sounds thin, plinky and solid-state.I much prefer his live sound when he uses his Mesa Boogie. fwiw, I'm not against using modelers live - my favorite amp is a Yamaha DG80 and I have a few Fenders and a small Boogie. I wrote an article that identifies what I think is probably the "plinky" sound you're hearing, and tells how to eliminate it. There are lots of audio examples so you can really hear the difference. This applies to lots of amp sims, not just Eleven Rack. There's also another article on how to use Eleven Rack with just about any ASIO-compatible program, not just Pro Tools.
