Members chimi Posted February 7, 2013 Members Share Posted February 7, 2013 Bought this on a whim because i like the idea of a 'heavy metal' tele. It's a Samick but not one i've really seen. Can anyone give me any info on this guitar? I'm almost certain i'm not going to hang on to it because right after i bought this i got a sweet deal on an Ibanez Les Paul and i'm kinda broke. Members kayd_mon Posted February 8, 2013 Members Share Posted February 8, 2013 A local music shop that used to exist in my area carried mostly just Samick guitars, and I'm almost certain that I saw one like that on the wall. That was in the mid-90s, and the guy was selling everything at list price. The list price on the Samick was comparable to today's mid-to-high end imports. If I am correct, all those Samick-branded guitars came from the same factory that was churning out guitars for all the big name makers. The Samick guitars that I've seen and played have been nice.
