, what would it consist of?....I would totally go the complete opposite of most players and collectors and build up a collection of 90\% 80's guitars and some 70's and 90's too! I love 'em...and the more rare and unusual , the better and especially seek out the 'signature' guitars....

I'd go to the best small shop builders and commission what I wanted. Collins(335), Shur(Strat), Crook(Tele), etc, are just some names off the top of my head.

yeap, that would be great idea....a collection of 100% hand made guitars by every big time luthier out there...

I would buy every Vox amp I could find - vintage, current, whatever.  I'd probably get a couple Oranges and a Fender Bandmaster halfstack as well.  I don't think I'd want a Mesa or Marshall, but if money is no object, you never know.

Then, I'd buy a few Gibsons (a few ES guitars, an LP or two, an SG in natural burst, and maybe an Blueshawk), a few Fenders (some cool MIJ ones, some AVRIs and American Deluxes), a Ric or two, a PRS Custom 24 in purple, and a couple Ibanezes (an RG and a S-series will do).

Then I would buy a room full of pedals.

I think I'd be good to go after all that.

I'd get a '59 Les Paul 'Burst. Early Clapton has had an immemse influnce on my playing so a '59 would be a dream come true. An ES 335 ala Clapton's Cream Farewell concert would totally rock my world. I'd like a '65 Strat. A friend loaned me his briefly and it was the most satisfying Strat I've ever played. From Buddy to Jimi, that guitar was the Real Deal. I'd get a '62 Casino because Mc Cartney's Casino tones are personal favorites.  An early 60s Les Paul Junior ala Leslie West and a 50s Tele would round things out.
