Members jumpwin
Anyone heard of these pickups? Fitted these pickups? They are knocking out Humbucker sized P90's for next to nothing. They have ceramic magnets in them, so what should I expect?
Members honeyiscool
No. Anyway ceramics can be good or bad, just like AlNiCo. In general ceramic has more power and clarity and AlNiCo has more warmth.

Members Beyer160
It depends on how those pickups are constructed, but my experience has been that ceramic magnet P90s can sound really nice, the difference between ceramic and alnico isn't as pronounced as in humbuckers or Fender style singles. If they're next to nothing, buy a pair and tell us how they are!
Members jumpwin
Already purchased! I will be recording a before and after.
Members captcoolaid
I almost bought a set for 25.00 bucks just to see. But restrained myself because they are ceramic. Ceramic singles, which essentially they are tend to sound very anemic to me. They will also probably be very noisy. Good luck.
Members CanIBDom
I have ceramic P90s in my SX. They definitely sound good, and sometimes even great. Noisy sure, but I think that's part of what gives P90s their charm.
Members fretmonster
I'd bite. I have ceramics in my Les Paul Studio Lite and my Fender (Squier Series) Strat and love them both. They sound very dynamic clean and even better with gain.
Members *BLEEP*
Swapping in a more powerful ceramic magnet will reject noise since the magnetic field is stronger. It will also make the output higher for a given amount of string vibration.

Members xStonr
These come with ceramic and Alnico 5 magnets ' alt='>'> I use the ceramic magnets when I'm wanting more output. Not noisy at all.

Members xStonr
Those hum sized p90's are a great look in a guitar!
Members Beyer160
These look a lot like GFS Dream 90s (which are also ceramic), so I imagine they're made by Artec. I have a Dream 180 (two Dream 90 coils together) in the neck of a Tele that sounds great, looks like you got a good deal.
Members vintage clubber
And they add a nice retro look! anyone know how to add a sound clip? I've done a comparison, and the difference is astonishing! did you get the lefty models??
Members jumpwin
Lefty models!? PAH! Like us lefties are looked after so well!
Members HarpBoy
Looks a bit like this, doesn't it? Epiphone Nick Valensi, that comes from the factory with Gibson P94s. I love this guitar... Cheers

Members Josi Warman
Nope. Our HBP90's are definitely not made by Artec :-)
Members stratmanjd
I just put a pair of these in a Xaviere Les Paul copy and they are such an improvement over the humbuckers that were in there. The neck pup is the best I've heard. I have a pair of GFS dream 180s in a Schecter, I like the Warman HBP90s better. Nice folks to deal with. Members skarocker
I bought a set of Warman humbucker sized P90's, £30 for the pair. Just fitted them into my Les Paul.....They're incredible for the price. High output, noiseless, wonderful tone & they have that lovely P90 overdrive when cranked up!!! Members gdsmithtx
Do you have a link for the ones you bought? Some questions: These are the ones with the ceramic magnets? How high is the output? Is it still in the "hot vintage" range (up to maybe 11k in the neck and 14k bridge)?
