I remember my going to see him on the whiplash smile tour way back in the day.....I went mainly because the Cult were opening for him and I was a huge cult fan.  Anyway...I liked Billy as well, but not to the point where I really cared THAT much about seeing him.  But I gotta say he friggin rocked!  It was a great concert.  He really had a great command of the audience and was a great showman.   And this was after his motorcycle crash too!

He's someone that if I had the opportunity I would probably go to see again.

I saw him about 3 years ago in Germany and it was a great gig. Steve Stevens was his lead guitarist then, same as back in the 80's. Looks like it's still that same lineup now according to wikipedia.

he had a show on TV recently, maybe a year or two ago with Steve Stevens and it was AWESOME!  (I think it was a new years show) Id go see him especially since hes playing small venues.  the Idol knows how to rock an audience (super high energy, tight band, audience connection), and Steve Stevens is great.   out of the 80s buttrock bands rocking today his was one of the best (Bon Jovi, def leppard, journey, et al)
