Remastered 1986 release arrives on April 20

Record Store Day 2013 (April 20) is a day to appreciate many things: vinyl LPs, drum machines, independent record shops, and {censored} Galore.

The late-'80s slop-rock outfit is reissuing 1986's charmingly titled Groovy Hate {censored} EP as anRSD exclusive. The upcoming 12-inch vinyl was remastered from the original recording session tapes under the supervision of {censored} Galore frontman (and future Blues Explosion leader) Jon Spencer. Groovy Hate {censored} was first self-released by the band on their Shove Records label, just before they migrated from Washington, D.C. to New York City. As per the reissue's official announcement, the EP finds {censored} Galore "at their most noisy, most bratty, most screaming, most guitar feedbacking, most metal crashing, and most extreme."

{censored} Galore previously reissued their debut EP, 1985's Feel Good About Your Body, as a 7-inch vinyl for Record Store Day 2012.

Brutal record! My copy has the fist single tracks on it too. I wish there was a cd version, haven't even seen my turntable in a few years! -Adam
