Members The Rover
I love the neck pickup in my Carvin Bolt Plus, but the bridge pickup is kind of boring me. Its a 25.5 scale maple neck with an ebony FB and what Im pretty sure is an Alder body. Its very light. Oh and the neck humbucker is the C22 so its like a vintage output PAF type. I like vintage/medium output for the usual classic rock, blues, funk/jazz/fusioney type stuff. No metal or shred or deathcore pickups. I want something with some attitude and balls that still cleans up nicely. Im really intrigued by the new Whole Lotta Humbucker but Im thinking those would sound better in a Les Paul type guitar or possibly the SG Im about to buy. The Dimarzio Fred looks interesting, but I cant find a video of anyone using it for classic rock or blues, just shred crap. ANyone have a Fred? ANy other suggestions? Thanks.
