    the SG is a ghetto cheap version of the Tweedy model it seems.

      I would do naughty things to that 339.  I wonder about the finish though.  What is that going to look like in 7 years?  Awesome?  Dated and dull?  I must resist.

    I like the look of that bass. And it looks like Epi is outfitting these with some solid hardware. Lately the build quality on the better Epis I

      ordered a 355 from Zzounds in July 2012, still waiting for delivery. If the guitar is OK (and, I expect it will be) I think that SG is next. Firebird too. 40/1 gear ratio.

        I've got the 339 Ultra in PB, mostly to tinker with the nanomag. No complaints at all. Nicely finished, plays well, sounds good, and stays in tune.

      The pics make it look like a satin finish, which could possibly age some. I really like the look.

        Though some of them look satin, the 339 Ultra definitely is not.  Wish that I had a better photo, but you can make out the speckles in this one.
