Why are Pedaltrain pedalboards so darn expensive?

I have two - a Jr and a PT-2 (I think that's what they're called) . Curiously, neither of them aee currently in use. My main board has been a cheap Core Equipment pedalboard box that used to frequently show up on Musician's Friend's SDOTD. I got the first one to make an alternate (and bigger) board, but it didn't get gigged. I got the Jr. as a gift, and I still haven't decided what to mount on it. I plan to use that one, though.

Just realized that I didn't even chime in on the OP!

They are built well, but they are a bit expensive for what they are. Granted, just about all pedalboards that aren't homemade are a bit expensive. My Core board was cheap, and it's lasted a long time, so it proves you don't need to charge a whole lot for a functional product like that.

I got the PT-1 with case for 119 as well. Yeah it's a little pricey but totally worth it. Reliable, durable, easy to tote around and set up. If you're gigging often a good pedal board is as essential as anything else in your rig.
