      His opening for the Woodstock movie, made the whole thing worth watching.

    Mixed Bag was an important album back in the 60s. Richie had a great right hand! RIP Richie.

      I got to see him preform once when I was in my teens in the early '70's. I didn't really understand what I was seeing, but he was an electrifying wild man onstage.

      I'll never forget it.

      True about the right hand talent.  Always felt he could make a new guitar into a Willie Nelson special in a month...

    This song makes me teary eyed every time I hear it. Even more so now that Richie Havens is gone. Sleep well Richie Havens, we're all going to follow one day.
