Members Roy Brooks Posted May 13, 2013 Members Share Posted May 13, 2013 All I know for sure about the supposed 1953 Esquire and Telecaster is that they are guitars. A stock 1953 Esquire would have a maple neck/fingerboard with a skunk stripe on the back of the neck. It is possible that the Esquire listed on Craigslist may have a 1953 body. And it may have its orginal electronics. But the neck is not original. But the fact that the seller did not mention the changed neck makes me think that he might have left out other details.
