Moderators Ratae Corieltauvorum Posted May 15, 2013 Moderators Share Posted May 15, 2013 Kate Bush, Adele and Bobbie Gentry all can make me stop dead, and my spine tingles. Don't matter how many times I hear Ode to Billy Joe...... Your favourites?

Members harold heckuba
My grandparents had that album. We istened to it over thereall the time. Loved it so much we even went to see the "Ode to Billie Joe"movie starring Robby Benson. The movie was really bad, andhad nothing to do with the song. Members Danhedonia
Some thought that movie ok, and sure it had to do with the song: plot points are liberally borrowed. In the early 90's while working on a licensing project I wound up hearing about her through her publisher ... she is one no-bull{censored} lady, I'll tell you that. Told the music industry to stick it up their ass and kept to it.
Members orourke
That was great. Beautiful song, simple, haunting and well performed. And god, she was so pretty!
