  • Keep in touch.

I have set up an email account for use with any of you still out there who want to keep in touch outside of (or instead of) HCEG.  PM me or respond to this thread and I'll send it over to you.  I don't want to post it here in order to minimize chances of it getting added to spam lists.

i've had the good fortune to interact with a ton of good people here (too many to PM).  I'm hoping this approach keeps me in touch with as many of you as possible.

This makes me kinda sad.  Even when things got really slow here you were the guy who kept posting stuff for people to talk about until the members started coming back and it looks like it was working until this whole fiasco.  I haven't been posting here although I've continued to read for the last few months because it seems like there are quite a few folks who don't particularly care for me after the changeover and whatnot but HC was my internet home for years before I started my own forum and it still feels like my original online home.  Hopefully I'll see you around on one of the other sites....I do spend time on the gear page and thefret.net occasionally.

Hey Mark!  thank you.  not trying to be dramatic about anything.  just feels like it's time to pay my tab and bow out.  I'm sure i'll see you around.  I really appreciate all the lesson videos you've shared in the past and consider you to be an incredible guitarist.

    @ Mark
Thanks, maybe i just missed it my spam box. I look forward to participating there. Looks like you've swayed quite a few good peeps from my little bit lurking there. Ill prolly stop in here now and again, but at this point HC has really lost its appeal to me. I really try not to curse in print (I curse like a drunk sailor in real life lol!) but it's the censorship issue itself that really gets my goat, and the general blas

      GreatDane:
i've had an ID at Mark's site for a while, but i don't frequent there much. not sure where I'll land. maybe nowhere. plenty of other things to use the time with (like for playing).

Very nice GD. You have my deepest respect, so much that your departure has certainly had some influence in me finding a new home. If someone like you, who I'm very aware tried his best to keep this place from withering to a shell of its former self is leaving, I feel like its my time too. If nothing but to help send a message to the powers that be in my own little way. Best of luck man. See you around I hope.

Not sure how to quote from my iPhone but @photon, no problem. Everyone's welcome if they want to come over. We aren't the HC version of PG13 but we do restrict the political, religious and porn posting. You can swear all you want though

And It's just now I post in this forum...

Sad for the people who live the forum.

          Sad panda...

I've always spent a good amount of time in the Seymour Duncan forum Pickup Lounge. They also have a subforum for guitars themselves. Maybe we could move over there? It's PG-13, but they're pretty fun over there, too.

Aww, that sucks!  I thought 90% of the anger of this place was just venting, but seeing you and JoeCool bailing makes me hear the Fat Lady clearing her throat. :robotsad:

You are, and always will be, one of the good guys, GD, and your Hot or Not threads kept this place alive.  So sorry to see you go, and thanks once again for the great deal on my Hamer Studio!

To you, and anyone else who might be interested: I'm registered at TDPRI as Stratburst.  Look me up if you're ever there. :robothappy:

How many of us are on Facebook?

Type in facebook.com, a slash, and then my username here and you'll get me. My name's Tom and my picture is of my awesome kid in front of an awesome Mustang.

I think I might also start an HCEG group on there.
