In this log I will be building a hand-etched PCB provided by GuitarPCB.  I will use techniques typical of my personal builds, and hopefully give the new builders here some ideas.  I also hope experienced builders will contribute their techniques and tricks as well; it's all about empowering our bretheren to make some great stuff!

Here's where I started:

Sharp clearcoat line (to be buffed with steel wool tomorrow)

To do tomorrow evening:

1. solder basic components to PCB (diode, resistors, capacitors)

2. socket transistors (will measure and test when offboard wiring is complete)

3. mount and fit offboard components

4. buff edges of clearcoat

The Stage 3 is an amazing clean boost that is roughly the size of a 3PDT switch, MKC1 can do clean boost (It's a Klon derivative), SHO 'Nuff is a Super Hard On derivative, and Stage 357 is a clean boost with switchable clipping. I've build probably a dozen Stage 3s and 4 MKC1s, and they're both really, really good (especially with documented mods).
