Members mickpc
Hi guys, used to lurk here ages ago, I am thinking of doing a valve tester as a final year project for my degree in electronics. I am wondering if I can get some feedback on this, is it a good idea? Do you have any experience with other tube testers on the market? The (shell of a) idea is to use a raspberry pi (small linux computer) to put a valve through its paces and to gauge the life it has left in it (at least to some degree.) It is six months before I have to start on it, just doing some background research on it atm, so see if it is feasible and worthwhile! Thoughts anyone? Cheers and Beers! Members SGRocker30
As far as I know the only tube tester on the market is the one Orange makes. I'm not sure if it is any better than the **** old one from the 50's that I have yet to figure out how to use, but I know it is on the market.
